About The Position

Webdrill is an underground diamond drilling company seeking experienced Drillers to join their team in a remote location of Alaska. The company values its employees' safety, health, and wellbeing, and is committed to innovation and excellence, operating new Webdrill customized Epiroc drill rigs. This role offers opportunities to learn new skills, build friendships, and earn competitive pay. The work involves a 4-week on, 4-week off rotating schedule of days and nights, working 12 hours a day or more, at a remote campsite. Employees are required to stay on-site at a client-provided camp during their work rotation. The environment includes extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, light, and dark, in and around artificial light, and in an underground, confined work area. Camp facilities include dining service, a games room, an exercise & weight room, and accommodation rooms with Wi-Fi access and shared en-suite bathrooms. Cell service is available via Wi-Fi. The position is open to all US Residents who are able and willing to pay for transport to and from Fairbanks, Alaska for rotational shifts.

Requirements

  • Underground drilling experience in a Drillers position
  • Required to pass a full physical medical assessment and lab drug & alcohol screen
  • Required to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Experience leading, training and mentoring drill crews, including entry level Driller's Helpers
  • Experience conducting drill moves (set-up and pack-up)
  • Experience with completion of Safety documentation and ensuring safe work practices
  • Ability to liaise with Site Project Managers and Supervisors on drilling operations
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts at a remote mine site
  • Ability to work in an extremely physically demanding position in a remote and challenging environment
  • Strong commitment to safety, team communication and positive leadership
  • 1+ year of core or diamond drilling

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ yrs of core or diamond drilling experience
  • 1+ yr of Epiroc drill experience

Responsibilities
