Experienced Technician
About The Position
Volkswagen of Mandeville is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician. We are looking for someone with current dealership experience and at least 3 years of active experience in a dealership or independent repair facility. We offer comprehensive manufacturer training at no cost, with hands-on training from our Shop Manager, who is VW's 2025 #1 Dealer Skills Awarded Technician. We provide aggressive pay plans based on experience and production, and management that is dedicated to helping you reach your financial goals. Relocation assistance, including toolbox relocation, may be discussed for the right candidate relocating to Louisiana.
Requirements
- Current Dealership Experience
- Over 3 years of active experience in a dealership or independent repair facility
- Volkswagen or Audi experience (will consider another brand with good employment history on your resume)
- Strong automotive background
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
- Must have own tools
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership processes
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications and required documentation.
