This position may be filled as a/an RN I, II, III, depending on individual experience, education, and other qualifications. The Pediatric Medical Unit is a 40-bed, fast-paced pediatric medicine floor with a 4:1 patient ratio, occasionally a 3:1 ratio for stepdown patients. Stepdown patients may include those requiring high flow nasal cannulas, home ventilators/tracheostomies, and specialty infusions. Pediatric specialties seen on the unit include GI, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonology. Oklahoma Children's Hospital offers both Day (7a-7p) and Night (7p-7a) shifts. An OU Health Registered Nurse (RN) I works under general supervision, providing the highest quality of care to patients in a hospital setting with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
