About The Position

Chads Design Build is hiring an experienced carpenter for residential remodeling projects in Madison, Wisconsin. The role involves skilled carpentry across kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and whole-home renovations. The carpenter will work with project managers and teammates to complete quality work, keep projects on schedule, maintain safe and organized jobsites, and communicate professionally with homeowners and coworkers. The position also includes mentoring less experienced carpenters and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Requirements

At least 5 years of residential remodeling or construction experience.
Strong finish carpentry and general carpentry skills.
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills.
Personal hand tools.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Experience with light plumbing or electrical work.
Interest in energy-efficient or sustainable building practices.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled carpentry on residential remodeling projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and whole-home renovations.
Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Complete framing, finish carpentry, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other detailed finish work.
Work with project managers and team members to keep projects on schedule.
Help maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites.
Troubleshoot field challenges and contribute practical solutions.
Mentor less experienced carpenters and lead by example.
Communicate professionally with homeowners and coworkers throughout projects.
