About The Position

Electric Boat's Nuclear Test Engineering Department (D275) has openings for highly motivated engineers. The Test Procedure Writer position involves the preparation of nuclear test procedures that support the construction, maintenance, and repairs of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants at Electric Boat and the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department (NRMD) in Groton, Connecticut. This role requires conducting research of technical manuals, plant diagrams, and local instructions to gather necessary information, ensure safe equipment operation, maintain procedure flow and workability, and adhere to regulatory requirements and local writing guidelines. Additionally, the position includes coordinating procedure reviews, resolving comments, and obtaining procedure approvals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering
  • 5+ years post graduate engineering experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Technical/ Procedure Writing experience
  • Naval Nuclear Propulsion experience
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Framemaker
  • Current DOD Secret Clearance
