About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Orlando, Florida office is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer or Analyst with 2+ years of experience to join their Power Delivery team! This role involves the design of Power Delivery Infrastructure systems, including transmission lines, distribution lines, and substations. The successful candidate will participate on project teams in an active production role, engage in project meetings internally and externally with clients, and be responsible for the preparation of project specifications and conceptual/detailed calculations. Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines, coordination and verification of as-built drawings, and performing quality work to promote client retention are key aspects of this position. The role also includes the development of reports and design documents for various projects.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of design experience in transmissions, distributions, or communication line design
  • Holds Engineer-In-Training (EIT), Engineer Intern (EI), or the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Transmission Line Modeling (PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole) experience a plus
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

Responsibilities
