About The Position

Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Digital Electronics Circuit & Unit Hardware Design Engineer to join the Space Digital Products & Electronics team located in El Segundo, CA. This role involves crafting the digital heart of communication satellites by designing and implementing cutting-edge digital circuitry. The engineer will be instrumental in developing solutions that drive satellite functionality, leveraging expertise in digital signal processing, data communication, digital control systems, and embedded systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to ensure seamless integration of digital components for efficient data processing and communication within the satellite. The work environment is highly collaborative, described as 'cradle-to-grave' in satellite development, with an on-site satellite factory and co-located electronics teams. This proximity fosters high collaboration and seamless communication, allowing concepts to be turned into reality on-site. Requirements

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of engineering experience, or a Masters and 3+ years of engineering experience
2+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Experience with digital electronics; Circuit design and analysis experience
Experience in designing, analyzing and testing complex Electronic Circuit Card Assemblies and Units: including generating schematics, performing IR drop, signal integrity and timing analysis
Experience with Xpedition schematic capture and layout rules, HyperLynx, Spice, HFSS, Microwave Office CAD tools.
Firmware, Microprocessor or other Hardware oriented experience can be helpful
Active Secret, Top Secret, or SSBI Clearance

Responsibilities

Design and development of state-of-the art digital circuit & unit hardware / digital electronics for aerospace applications
Duties will include electronics design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification
Technical support for production and test of electronic products
Support projects involving Electronics design
Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products
Develop detailed designs of limited scope
Conducts various methods of testing and analysis to support design
Capture data for technical performance measures and performs basic analysis
Provide basic engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Conducts trade studies and literature research to support future product designs
