About The Position

Green Bay Converting is hiring an experienced Converting Machine Operator to set up and operate paper converting equipment in a clean, modern, well-maintained facility. Operators work with Perini, Bretting, United, or similar machines and are responsible for maintaining product quality and keeping production moving. Pay is $28–$33 per hour, consisting of a $25–$30 base rate plus up to a $3-per-hour bonus each pay period when production goals are met. The company offers 8-hour weekday shifts or 12-hour rotating shifts. The 8-hour shifts rotate, with an opportunity to lock in a straight shift; the 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule rotates between days and nights every two weeks. Green Bay Converting promotes from within and provides 152 hours of PTO in the first year, with PTO increasing afterward. This is an in-person position. Requirements

At least 3 years of experience operating converting machines; this experience is required.
Experience running large converting or rewinding equipment; paper-industry experience is preferred.
A sharp eye for quality and the ability to identify and address problems early.
Ability to read specifications and produce goods to target.
Ability to meet production goals and keep production moving.
Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work as a team member.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate fast-moving paper converting machines, including Perini, Bretting, United, or similar equipment.
Monitor product quality, adjust machine settings, and troubleshoot issues.
Load rolls, thread paper, and change blades and parts as needed.
Operate wrappers, folders, and packers to keep the production line moving.
Perform light maintenance and keep the work area clean.
Help train new team members and share job knowledge.
Work safely and follow all policies.
