About The Position

Visiting Angels of Marble Falls is hiring experienced caregivers to serve clients throughout the Highland Lakes area, including Llano, Marble Falls, Mason, Burnet, Kingsland, and Buchanan Dam. Caregivers help enrich clients’ quality of life and support their wellness in accordance with individualized care plans. The role includes personal care, companionship, household assistance, mobility support, medication reminders, and accompanying clients on errands or appointments. Advanced training opportunities in dementia and Alzheimer’s care are available to caregivers who want to broaden their skills. The job offers flexible schedules, competitive wages, and growth opportunities. Shift options include full-time, part-time, 8-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts, PRN, and short shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Training in First Aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties at once.
Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times.
Physical endurance to carry groceries and physically support a client.
Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints.
Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

Nice To Haves

Interest in broadening caregiving skills through advanced training in dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
Plan and prepare meals with clients while observing applicable dietary constraints.
Perform light housekeeping duties.
Report health changes or unusual incidents.
Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
Transport clients using a reliable personal vehicle.
