About The Position

Visiting Angels of Bettendorf is hiring an Experienced Caregiver for our clients throughout the Quad Cities area in places like Davenport, Bettendorf, Eldridge, Pleasant Valley, Walcott, Petersburg, Blue Grass, and many other locations. This role offers flexibility, room for growth, and the ability to make a difference in the lives of senior adults in the community.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent time-management skills
Reliable transportation to client visits
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response
A heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship
Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
Managing light housekeeping
Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation—this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks
Acting quickly in the case of medical emergencies
Adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances
