Experienced Auto Body Estimator
About The Position
G & C Auto Body is hiring an experienced Service Advisor / Estimator to join its growing auto body business. This is not an entry-level position. The role involves estimating work in an auto body shop, serving customers, and managing multiple jobs. The company is family-owned and operated and offers consistent hours, ongoing education and training, advanced equipment, and opportunities for growth, with the support and resources of a larger company. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch. Expected annual compensation is $85,000–$120,000, consisting of $22–$30 per hour plus eligibility for commission incentives expected to range from $3,000 to $5,000 per month. Commissions are paid weekly. Applicants must hold a valid California driver's license, pass a background check and drug screen before hire, and receive approval from the company's insurance partners during employment. The company says inquiries and conversations will be kept confidential from an applicant's current employer.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of estimating experience in an auto body shop.
- Experience using CCC One, Mitchell, and I-Car programs.
- Experience working with direct repair programs (DRP).
- Excellent customer service and sales background.
- Ability to multitask and manage several jobs at once.
- Attention to detail, quick learning ability, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Valid California driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen before hire.
- Must receive approval from the company's insurance partners during employment.
