About The Position

The Expense Manager leads efforts to identify and track cost savings improvements for the plant, partnering with local and divisional management teams. This role is responsible for coordinating the plant's budgeting process for variable and fixed expenses, preparing various financial reports (Daily Expense Reports, quarterly presentations, Monthly Expense Breakdown), and assisting with managing plant inventory levels and accuracy. The manager also oversees an employee storeroom supervisor and a Packaging Purchasing Manager, acts as the first-line approver for plant requisitions, and ensures correct general ledger accounts and cost centers are used for expenditures. Additionally, the position involves overseeing and controlling inventory levels for plant supplies and requires travel for C.U.T.S. trips and budget meetings.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of directly related experience required
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to details
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Ability to work with Power point and make presentations along with presenting data
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with internal and external customers
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Willing and able to travel as business needs dictate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leads the effort to identify cost savings improvement ideas for plant
  • Tracks the actual performance of cost savings plans
  • Partners with the local plant management team and divisional team for cost savings ideas and tracks performance
  • Responsible for coordinating the local plant budgeting process of the variable and fixed expenses
  • Prepares Daily Expense Reports, quarterly presentations, Monthly Expense Breakdown
  • Assist with Managing The plants inventory levels and accuracy
  • Manage employee storeroom supervisor and Packaging Purchasing Manager
  • First line approver in the procurement process on all plant requisitions that ultimately are converted into purchase orders
  • Responsible for making sure that the proper general ledger account and cost centers are correctly being used
  • Oversees and helps control inventory levels for the plant supplies
  • Required to Attend and Participate in C.U.T.S. trips and budget meetings which will require travel a minimum of 5 Times a Year
  • Strong Working Relations with The I.E. Group on costs affecting the plant
  • Other duties as assigned
