About The Position

This role involves interfacing with outside vendors to schedule and expedite outside processing jobs, providing on-line job status for major customers, and responding to customer needs by checking job statuses and resolving complaints. The Expediter will continuously monitor the hot sheet, follow up on priority jobs, and locate Purchase Order Changes on the floor. They will also expedite orders on the floor, locate Manufacturing Plans in Engineering or Customer Service as needed to track job status, and update/reprioritize Manufacturing Plans by locating, re-stamping, and finding material for jobs that could not be initially located. Additionally, this role will help oversee day-to-day activities in the warehouse, perform back-up duties such as issuing stock pulls, receiving remnants and overruns, and conducting cycle counts. The Expediter will also issue requisitions for material to fill min-max levels in the warehouse and create material requests for needed materials. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Experience in interfacing with outside vendors.
Ability to schedule and expedite jobs.
Skills in providing job status updates.
Customer service skills for resolving complaints.
Familiarity with hot sheets and priority job follow-up.
Ability to locate Purchase Order Changes and Manufacturing Plans.
Experience in updating and reprioritizing Manufacturing Plans.
Warehouse operations knowledge (stock pulls, receiving, cycle counts).
Experience with material requisitions and requests.
Ability to perform back-up duties in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Updates/reprioritizes Manufacturing Plans by locating, re-stamping and finding material for jobs, which could not be located initially.
Helps oversee day-to-day activities in the warehouse.
Performs back-up duties in the warehouse (issues pulls stocks, receives remnants, receives overruns, receives make stocks, performs cycle counts etc.).
Issues requisitions for material to fill min-max levels in the warehouse.
Creates material requests for material needed.
Performs additional duties, as assigned.
