Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years customer service experience in a transportation company
• Understanding of the trucking and tariffs
• Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening skills
• Ability to deal with different types of personalities and effectively handle high-stress situations in a calm manner
• Ability to negotiate and secure shipments based on set guidelines
• Demonstrated proficiency with Office programs, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers by phone and email to provide information regarding Expedited services and shipments.
• Always provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Assist less experienced employees with customer issues and help drive team performance.
• Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls and emails regarding Expedited services in a timely manner.
• Daily monitoring of Expedited shipments to ensure they meet promised delivery dates.
• Quote and book expedited shipments in a timely manner.
• Edit existing orders with Expedited upgrades.
• Provide accurate information regarding expedited shipments to both internal and external customers.
• Provide Service 2.OD to all internal and external customers.
• Build sustainable relationships and engage customers by going the extra mile.
