About The Position

MaintainX is seeking an Expansion Account Executive to join their dynamic sales team. This role is crucial for driving sales growth by engaging and managing relationships with customers in the Emerging segment (300 employees or less). The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing a large volume of high-velocity deals to expand client accounts. This is a key role in a rapidly growing company, requiring world-class client care and management. The Emerging Expansion AE/Account Manager will be responsible for engaging with several hundred accounts quarterly, focusing on both client retention and expansion. This is a high-responsibility role for someone who thrives under pressure, is highly organized, and client-focused.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a quota-carrying SaaS sales closing role (New Business AE or Expansion AE/AM).
  • Demonstrated success managing a large volume of prospects while driving product adoption.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate data-driven insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to conduct engaging product demonstrations.
  • Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced, rapidly changing sales environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all documentation and deal management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • A positive, passionate, and creative mindset, combined with high-character qualities that align with company values.
  • An open and hungry mind, always willing to improve through coaching and learn about customers’ industries.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, ideally in a relevant field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with modern sales tech stacks: Salesforce, Salesloft, DiscoverOrg, etc.
  • Experience with startups and entrepreneurial organizations.
  • Experience working in CMMS or facility operations software.
  • Documented success in working in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

  • Own a book of business from post-sale handoff onwards, using sales experience to engage and build relationships with emerging customers.
  • Leverage experience in navigating high volumes of deals to identify and capitalize on expansion opportunities within existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.
  • Take a proactive approach in identifying customer needs and providing innovative solutions, going above and beyond to deliver exceptional service and exceed customer expectations.
  • Articulate key metrics and data to demonstrate the value and impact of solutions, effectively conveying the return on investment for clients.
  • Manage a book of business and execute multiple tasks simultaneously such as client requests, demos, proposals, and follow-ups, ensuring organization.
  • Become a master of using systems like Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and others.
  • Accurately manage the sales pipeline and forecast monthly and quarterly expansion opportunities with +/- 15% accuracy.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of customer interactions, deals, and progress.
