About The Position

Bradenton Family & Implant Dentistry is seeking an experienced, confident, and dependable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join its team in Bradenton, Florida. The role is suited to someone comfortable with a variety of dental procedures who can work effectively in a busy general dentistry practice and provide exceptional patient care. The assistant will support the dentist and clinical team, help maintain an efficient practice, and contribute to smooth scheduling and office production goals.

Requirements

Extensive dental assisting experience, preferably in a fast-paced general dentistry practice.
Strong Dentrix experience.
Florida-recognized expanded functions training and credentials appropriate to the duties performed.
Strong clinical skills and confidence assisting with restorative procedures.
Ability to work independently, anticipate the dentist's needs, and stay organized.
Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
Dependable, positive team player who takes ownership of the role.

Nice To Haves

Implant dentistry experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist with a variety of general and restorative dental procedures.
Perform expanded functions within Florida's permitted scope of practice.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
Use Dentrix for patient charting, treatment documentation, and clinical workflows.
Educate patients on procedures, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
Maintain an organized, efficient clinical environment.
Work closely with the dentist and team to keep the schedule running smoothly and support office production goals.
