About The Position

We are hiring Expanded Functions Dental Assistants (EFDA) who are energetic and outgoing. GPHA is one of the largest Dental providers in Philadelphia and Tri-state area. We are presently seeking full-time EFDAs. Locations include: 1401 S. 31st St. Phila., PA 19146, 432 N. 6th St. Phila., PA 19123, 4500 - 4510 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19124, 5501 Woodland Ave. Phila., PA 19143, 1999 W. Hunting Park Ave. Phila., PA 19140, 640 Snyder Ave. Phila., PA 19148, 800 Washington Ave. Phila., PA 19147.

Requirements

  • Proficient in chairside dentistry
  • Proficient in quality diagnostic digital x-rays
  • Proficient in impressions and model pouring
  • Knowledge of infection control
  • Ability to adapt and understand the needs of the Dentist
  • Ability to place fillings to restore teeth
  • Ability to place sealants
  • Ability to provide supragingival prophylaxis and fluoride treatments
  • Ambitious, positive, talented, and friendly
  • Ability to multi-task
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduated from an accepted dental assisting school
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • CPR Certification required
  • Ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and languages effectively to obtain necessary information
