About The Position

Mid America Health is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our Ohio team. This EFDA position will work part-time, 32 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 7:00am-3:30pm), between Ross Correctional Institution and the Chillicothe Correctional Institution in Chillicothe, OH. This position is a rewarding, low stress alternative to private practice dentistry and offers competitive compensation of $35 per hour and full benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, generous paid time off, paid holidays, flex spending, and health savings account are available. Requirements

Current CPR for Healthcare Providers
Active Ohio Dental Radiographer License
Active Ohio Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary license

Nice To Haves

1 year experience
Certificate from an accredited dental assisting program
Willing to travel throughout Ohio, once the position transitions to that stage.

Responsibilities

Routine chairside duties include preventive, restorative, extraction, and prosthodontic care.
Placement and finishing of permanent dental fillings.
Application of fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents.
Provision of oral hygiene instructions.
Some administrative duties are also required.
