Dream Dental is seeking an experienced, energetic Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing team in Goodlettsville, TN! Requirements
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience
- Current X-Ray certification
- Strong knowledge of restorative, crown and bridge, implant, and general dentistry procedures
- Experience with digital dentistry and dental software preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive attitude, dependable, and patient-focused
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
- Valid X-ray certificate.
- Current license EFDA (per state requirements).
- CPR & first aid certificate.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with digital dentistry and dental software preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during a variety of restorative and surgical procedures
- Perform expanded functions as permitted by Tennessee regulations
- Fabricate and place temporary restorations
- Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos
- Scan with digital impression technology
- Prepare operatories before and after treatment
- Educate patients on treatment plans and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Ensure OSHA and CDC infection control standards are followed
- Work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, and administrative team members to provide an exceptional patient experience
