Dream Dental is seeking an experienced, dependable, and energetic Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join their growing team in Goodlettsville, TN. Requirements
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification required
- 2+ years of dental assisting experience required
- Current X-Ray certification
- Strong knowledge of restorative, crown and bridge, implant, and general dentistry procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable, positive, and patient-focused
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to learn and grow within a developing practice
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one-year related experience and/or training or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience in the dental profession.
- Current license if CDA, RDA, or EFDA (per state requirements).
- CPR & first aid certificate.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with digital dentistry and dental software preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor with restorative, surgical, and general dentistry procedures
- Perform expanded functions in accordance with Tennessee regulations
- Fabricate and place temporary restorations
- Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos
- Utilize digital impression scanners and other digital dentistry technology
- Prepare and turn over operatories efficiently
- Assist with patient education and post-operative instructions
- Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation
- Follow OSHA, CDC, and infection control protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Work closely with doctors, hygienists, and the administrative team to create an exceptional patient experience
