About The Position

GPHA is a non-profit healthcare organization founded in 1970, dedicated to providing compassionate and affordable healthcare services. GPHA is one of the largest Dental providers in the Philadelphia and Tri-state area. We are currently seeking EFDAs (Expanded Functions Dental Assistants) for Saturdays only. This role offers an exciting employment opportunity for energetic and outgoing individuals who want to make an impact in the healthcare community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Graduated from an accepted dental assisting school
• X-Ray Certification
• EFDA License
• CPR Certification
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ambitious, positive, talented, and friendly
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and languages effectively to obtain necessary information

Nice To Haves

• One year of dental assisting experience

Responsibilities

• Chairside dentistry
• Quality diagnostic digital x-rays
• Impressions and model pouring
• Infection control knowledge
• Adapt and understand the needs of the Dentist
• Place fillings to restore teeth
• Place sealants
• Provide supragingival prophylaxis and fluoride treatments
