Requirements

  • Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Any offer of employment is contingent upon the Company’s determination that the candidate has successfully passed a background check, including a drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment.
  • Assists dentists and hygienists in quality diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
  • Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist's access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
  • Places and finishes permanent restorations, completes preliminary Impressions, makes and polishes temporary crowns, removal temporary crowns, and fitting of permanent crowns and bridges, adjusting occlusions and interproximal areas, application of sealants, and adjusting partials and dentures.
