About The Position

Glendale Dental Smiles is seeking a highly skilled and energetic Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join their 8-op practice. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation. The practice specializes in general dentistry, special needs dentistry, and General Anesthesia (GA) cases, distinguishing itself from average dental offices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, utilizing their clinical expertise to provide exceptional and compassionate care to a diverse patient population.

Requirements

At least 3+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
Must hold a valid EFDA certification.
Must be X-ray certified.
Thrives in a "fast-paced" environment and is known for being proactive and "on your toes."
Happy to jump in and assist wherever needed to help the team succeed.

Nice To Haves

Experience or a strong interest in working with special needs patients is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Fulfilling all EFDA duties, including placing restorations and taking final impressions.
Assisting the dentist during complex procedures, including special needs care and GA cases.
Managing sterilization, taking high-quality X-rays, and ensuring the 8-op floor runs efficiently.
Ensuring every patient-regardless of their needs-has a comfortable, safe, and positive visit.
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient charts and treatment records.
