The mission of the Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary is to help facilitate and perform restorations on patients all while keeping them comfortable. They will be able to discuss what they are doing and why they are doing it to the patient. They will always be kind and compassionate to the patient’s needs.
Requirements
- Prioritizes comfort, ensuring anxious patients feel at ease during all procedures.
- Carefully follows directions from dentists and hygienists while responding promptly to patient needs and concerns.
- Conveys complex dental concepts and preventive care instructions to patients in an accessible, clear, and empathetic manner.
- Committed to practice objectives, including same-day treatment completion and efficient daily office flow.
Responsibilities
- Execute duties within your realm of licensure to optimize daily patient flow and maximize same-day scheduling opportunities.
- Prepare patients for examinations, assist in restorative procedures, and actively instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive home-care measures.
- Perform comprehensive dental assisting duties, including chairside support, instrument sterilization, and maintaining OSHA compliance.
