This position requires extensive experience and advanced certifications.
Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Advanced proficiency in dental software and technology
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Superior communication skills with patients and team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth understanding of dental insurance and billing procedures
- Proficiency in infection control and sterilization techniques
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures quickly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Expertise in expanded function dental assisting procedures
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties of Dental Assistant 1 and 2 with advanced proficiency
- Lead and mentor junior dental assistants, providing guidance and training
- Assist in complex dental procedures and oral surgeries
- Manage inventory and equipment maintenance for the dental office
- Perform advanced dental assisting duties as allowed by state regulations, including: Placing and finishing composite restorations, Performing coronal polishing, Taking final impressions for crown and bridge
- Assist in maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with industry advancements
