About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support dental procedures and provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in restorative dentistry, strong technical skills, and the ability to assist efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of dental assisting experience required
• Strong knowledge of restorative dental procedures and materials
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• EFDA Certification (required as per state guidelines)
• X-Ray Certification required
• CPR Certification required

Nice To Haves

• Prior EFDA experience in a clinical setting
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Responsibilities

• Place and finish dental restorations (fillings) after dentist preparation
• Take accurate impressions for crowns, bridges, and models
• Fabricate and place temporary crowns and bridges
• Perform coronal polishing, fluoride treatments, and apply sealants
• Assist during restorative, prosthodontic, and endodontic procedures
• Take and process dental radiographs
• Maintain infection control and sterilization standards
• Provide post-treatment instructions to patients
• Accurately document treatment notes and patient records
• Monitor inventory and assist with supply management
• Support front office operations, patient flow, and case coordination as needed
