About The Position

Big Smiles, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Full-time Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) in Covington, KY and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school. Our innovative in-school dental program offers a different work-life balance than a traditional dental practice, with a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends. This program is perfect for individuals seeking a diverse and different working environment, working parents, and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field.

Requirements

• Working experience as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA)
• CPR/BLS Card
• Digital X-ray Imaging experience
• Valid driver license, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel locally is a must
• Works well with children
• Works well in fast-paced environment; organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task
• Able to lift and carry equipment for set-up and take down. Up to 50 lbs.
• X-Ray Certified
• Sealant Certified
• Coronal Polishing Certified

Responsibilities

• Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics
• Digital X-ray Imaging
• Patient Records Charting
• Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization Assistance
• Travel Daily to and from school sites
