About The Position

Cody Dental Group is seeking an experienced Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join its large, established family dental practice, which has served the Denver community for over 75 years. The practice describes its team as supportive and its schedule as fast-paced, with varied daily work. The position is full-time Tuesday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with optional Monday hours at the same times. Compensation is $25–$32 per hour, with monthly performance-based bonus opportunities.

The EDDA will support patient care and the dentist during procedures, prepare and maintain operatories, sterilize instruments, and help manage supplies. The role requires at least two years of EDDA experience. Dental Assistant and EDDA certifications are preferred, and X-ray certification is required. Applicants must have active CPR or be willing to obtain it.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant.
• X-ray certification is required.
• Active CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

• Dental Assistant certification preferred.
• EDDA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and update patients’ health histories.
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies for each operatory.
• Sterilize instruments according to OSHA regulations.
• Assist the dentist chairside with four-handed dentistry.
• Place fillings, pack cord, and seat temporary crowns.
• Assist with ordering and stocking supplies.
