About The Position
Kids Dentistree is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to provide quality dental care and support patients in a respectful, supportive practice. The role assists dentists and hygienists with diagnosis and treatment, helps maintain efficient clinical operations, and follows safety and infection-control procedures. The position is full-time, with 30 weekly hours, at 3120 Blackiston Mill Rd, New Albany, Indiana. Salary is up to $25 per hour based on experience, with a $1,200 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- EDDA or EFDA certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain radiology and CPR certification within the required timeframe.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clinically excellent dental care through patient education and quality treatment.
- Assist dentists and hygienists with diagnosis through X-rays, verbal communication, and other dental tests as directed.
- Support efficient operations by seeking patient referrals, maintaining equipment, using supplies cost-effectively, and accurately posting patient charges.
- Follow CDC and OSHA safety and infection-control guidelines.
- Complete clinical notes according to practice guidelines before dismissing patients.
- Prepare treatment rooms according to prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Sterilize and deliver instruments to the treatment area, position instruments for dentist access, suction, and pass instruments.
- Place and finish permanent restorations and complete preliminary impressions.
