The EXL Program Instructor (Part-Time) position is a stepping stone into a career in education, leadership, advocacy, social entrepreneurship, and social justice. The role involves facilitating engaging academic, enrichment, recreation, and social-emotional learning activities for K-12 students. Instructors are expected to build positive, supportive relationships, support student behavior using restorative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices, provide homework assistance, and adapt activities to meet diverse learning needs. A key responsibility is creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for students of all backgrounds. The position also requires supervising and actively engaging groups of up to 22 youth, collaborating with staff and families, maintaining documentation, and participating in professional development.
