About The Position

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) is seeking an Exhibits & Meetings Coordinator to join their Convention & Meeting Planning team. This role provides support for exhibits and internal meeting management for the Convention & Meeting Planning Division. Responsibilities include assisting with exhibit management and support, logistics and scheduling for meetings held at AVMA offices, and onsite support during the AVMA Convention & Veterinary Leadership Conference (VLC). The position is located at the AVMA Headquarters office in Schaumburg, Illinois. Up to 10% travel is required.

Requirements

BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related administrative or meeting planning experience.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Excellent project management, planning, & organizational skills.
Professional attitude & appearance.
Analytical and a problem solver.
Proficient in Windows applications, spreadsheets, and databases, with an aptitude to learn new programs.
Able to work independently with limited instruction and exercise sound judgment within defined parameters.
Must be able to travel on behalf of the association as needed.
Must be able to work outside of normal business hours as needed.

Nice To Haves

Not-for-profit association experience preferred.

Responsibilities
