The Exhibitions Manager is responsible for the implementation of the School of Architecture’s (SoA) Exhibition Program—including inventorying, organizing and tracking exhibition and archival materials. Reporting to the Department Manager and Dean, the incumbent will work to manage the development, production, operations, installation/de-installation, communications, and budget oversight of exhibition programming. As a key point of contact for SoA-based and external constituencies in exhibitions, the incumbent will: hire and supervise subcontractors and students as needed, work with university partners, visiting scholars, faculty, staff, and University colleagues, ensuring the exhibitions serve the SoA’s mission and vision. This position requires someone who is a self-starter with initiative and curiosity, who is creative and thoughtful, experimental at times and can think outside the box, able to manage multiple projects with organizational acuity and meet various deadlines, and able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with multiple constituents. The position is full time and requires some weekend and evening hours; the position additionally requires occasional travel.
