About The Position

The Exhibitions and Art Sales Manager (EASM) is a business development and arts administration professional responsible for creating, coordinating, and maintaining exhibition, sales, and visibility opportunities for participant artists. This position develops and executes strategies that elevate artists' work through exhibitions, partnerships, licensing opportunities, sales platforms, and community engagement. The EASM serves as a key representative of the Center for Creative Works within the broader arts community, building relationships with galleries, museums, businesses, collectors, and arts organizations. The role supports artists' professional development while ensuring a consistent flow of opportunities that enhance both artist visibility and program sustainability. This position works collaboratively across both CCW Wynnewood and CCW Philadelphia locations and supports studio staff and artists through mentorship, guidance, and professional development initiatives. A strong commitment to RHD's mission and values is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience organizing exhibitions, curating shows, marketing artwork, design licensing, or related arts administration experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and professional connections within the arts community.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Reliable transportation with current registration and insurance.
  • Ability to meet agency vehicle requirements.
  • Ability to travel between multiple program locations and community venues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic website, social media, and design platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in sales, business development, marketing, or gallery management preferred.
  • Experience supporting artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities or knowledge of the Progressive Art Studio movement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with artists, galleries, museums, businesses, and arts organizations to create inclusive exhibition and sales opportunities.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities that support participant artists and program growth.
  • Coordinate and support participation in art fairs, markets, community events, and sales initiatives.
  • Research and submit artwork for open calls, juried exhibitions, and other competitive opportunities.
  • Expand and strengthen the program's online presence through marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
  • Develop strategies to increase artwork sales, licensing opportunities, and community engagement.
  • Curate exhibitions within CCW and throughout the broader arts community.
  • Collaborate with guest curators, artists, and community partners to develop inclusive exhibition opportunities.
  • Plan, coordinate, install, and deinstall exhibitions and product displays.
  • Manage partnerships involving artwork development, community collaborations, and public visibility projects.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with galleries, retail stores, museums, and businesses to display and sell participant-created artwork.
  • Promote participant artists and their work through strategic outreach and public engagement activities.
  • Research, write, and submit proposals for exhibitions, grants, partnerships, and artist opportunities.
  • Maintain communication regarding program achievements, upcoming events, artist accomplishments, and organizational needs.
  • Manage and maintain the program's artwork archive and database systems.
  • Build and sustain relationships with collectors, buyers, and supporters of CCW artists.
  • Manage artwork sales processes, records, inventories, and related financial documentation.
  • Assist with marketing materials, website updates, and social media content.
  • Complete reports, records, and administrative duties as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
