Under direction, employees will perform a variety of administrative duties including, but not limited to: providing information and assistance to the general public; maintaining the gift shop; drafting promotional materials and correspondence; planning, organizing, and coordinating museum support activities; designing, interpreting, fabricating, installing and maintaining museum exhibits; and, providing the public with the best historical information and exhibits possible in a professional and friendly atmosphere. Positions at this level perform most of the duties required of Exhibit Technician II, but are not expected to perform at the same skill level. The employee exercises less independent discretion and judgement in matters related to work procedures and methods. Work is normally supervised while in progress. Exceptions or changes in procedures are explained in detail as they arise. Employees may have limited or no directly related work experience.
