About The Position

Join the Attractions Team as a part-time variable hourly (20-29 hours per week) Exhibit Door Attendant in the Guest Experience department. This role involves greeting guests at exhibits and ensuring safety procedures are followed, particularly at bird aviaries. Ideal candidates are committed to the Zoo's mission to protect nature and inspire people. While not responsible for animal care, the Attractions team is crucial to the Zoo's operations by providing excellent customer service and maintaining a family-friendly, safe environment. A cooperative, team-oriented personality, and a friendly, courteous attitude are highly desirable. This is an entry-level position with a pay rate of $13.00/hr.

• Any experience working in customer service is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Works as a greeter/ attendant at the entrance and exit doors of our bird aviaries and kangaroo doors.
• Ensures safety procedures are being followed at all attractions by both staff and guests.
• Provides friendly, professional service to Zoo guests and fellow staff members; guides, directs, and engages guests with a detailed and pleasant manner.
• Must enjoy working as a team but be able to work independently as well.
• Provides support during special events at the zoo, such as ZooBoo and Christmas at the Zoo
