About The Position

ABM is seeking an Exhaust Technician to join its Pumps, Chillers, and Scrubbers (PCS) Team supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations. This hands-on mechanical maintenance role performs preventive maintenance on exhaust systems, pumps, chillers, and related equipment that support critical production processes. The role requires mechanical aptitude, tool use, and troubleshooting or replacing components such as pumps, seals, and O-rings. The position is onsite in Taylor, Texas, and is available on B or D shift. Both shifts run from 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. B shift works Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday; D shift works Wednesday through Friday and every other Saturday. The schedule alternates between three and four workdays per week. The hourly pay range is $27–$30, with a specific offer dependent on experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market alignment. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 1 year of maintenance, mechanical, construction, manufacturing, or related experience.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Must be able to work onsite in Taylor, Texas.
Must meet requirements for access to semiconductor manufacturing environments, including providing up to a 10-year work history when available.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Good hand dexterity and ability to perform detailed mechanical work.
Ability to use common hand tools and maintenance equipment.
Comfort working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with pumps, piping, exhaust systems, HVAC systems, industrial equipment, or similar mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, chillers, exhaust systems, and related equipment.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and replace components including pumps, O-rings, seals, heater wraps, and other mechanical parts.
Conduct visual inspections of vacuum pump exhaust lines and associated systems.
Complete scheduled cleaning and maintenance activities on piping and exhaust systems.
Accurately document maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment readings.
Use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Identify potential equipment issues and report findings to leadership.
Follow safety procedures and cleanroom protocols in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Support equipment uptime and reliability through proactive maintenance practices.
