About The Position

The Exercise Specialist provides a safe and effective exercise environment for Olympic Center members and guests. The role supervises individual exercise programs, educates people who are exercising, assists with establishing individual exercise programs, and supports the implementation of medically integrated fitness programs. This is a day-shift, full-time position in Tyler, Texas, with UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Center, which includes an inpatient hospital, outpatient therapy clinics, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation clinics, and Olympic fitness centers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Health and Kinesiology or a related field.
• One year of experience in health, fitness, or wellness.
