About The Position
Fitness Forum Physical Therapy is seeking an Exercise Specialist, also known as a rehab tech or physical therapy aide, to join their team in Annapolis, Maryland. This role involves coaching patients through exercise programs designed by physical therapists, including sessions in a therapy pool. Responsibilities also include assisting therapists with cleaning treatment areas before and after patient sessions, and general housekeeping duties to maintain clinic cleanliness. This position is ideal for individuals pursuing further education in physical therapy (PT school, PTA school) or a career in exercise science, offering valuable experience and exposure to various specialty areas.
Requirements

Nice To Haves
- CPR certification
- Coursework or a degree in exercise science or kinesiology
- Prior experience in a medical office or fitness setting
- Lifeguard certification or aquatic experience
Responsibilities
- Guide patients through their prescribed exercise programs under a PT's direction.
- Set up and reset treatment areas, equipment, and the pool deck between patients.
- Watch for safety in the gym and the water, and speak up when something looks off.
- Answer phones, confirm appointments, schedule patients, and cover the front desk when needed.
- Perform housekeeping duties for the cleanliness of the clinic and common areas.
