About The Position

This role performs cardiopulmonary stress testing and physiological evaluation within the Congenital Heart Stress Lab. The specialist may also analyze external cardiacs and assist in implantable device management. A key aspect of the position is providing patient education related to heart-healthy lifestyle choices. The Congenital Heart Center is part of Corewell Health's extensive network of over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering diverse care options and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Health Science or related field
• Less than 2 years of relevant experience in conducting graded exercise testing
• Knowledge of cardiovascular physiology
• Knowledge of risk factor identification/modification
• Basic electrocardiogram (EKG) knowledge or completion of an internship in Cardiac Rehab
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross required within 90 days
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA American Heart Association required within 1 year
• CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) – AHA American Heart Association required within 1 year

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Health Science or related field
• Certified (CEP) - ACSM American College of Sports Medicine preferred
