Requirements

  • BS or BA degree, subject immaterial.
  • Minimum five years of experience with planning and resourcing military training and training support operations at Battalion level or higher.
  • Experience with planning and developing simulation supported exercises to assist unit commanders with achieving their training objectives.
  • Advanced understanding of Army LVC-G simulations and C2 Systems and their integration.
  • An intermediate understanding of exercise network, IT and communications principles.
  • Advanced understanding of Exercise Design concepts and principles.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II certification within 6 months of hiring
  • SECRET clearance is required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate skills with Office 365 with emphasis on PowerPoint
  • The ability to develop high quality briefing products for battalion and above leadership
  • The ability to manage and synchronize the deliverables and timelines of multiple teams ensuring overall project cohesion.

Nice To Haves

  • Former FA 57A or MTC experience and MEL4.
  • Operate Mission Command Systems, virtual and constructive simulations to accurately replicate operational scenarios and collect performance data.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with dedicated military and civilian exercise planners assisting unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identify any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and work with management and government teams to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training.
  • Interact with Army, Joint, and bilateral exercise planners throughout the exercise life cycle planning process.
  • Resolve complex exercise, training, and/or administrative issues by collaboration and applying appropriate doctrine.
  • Be immersed within small planning work groups with dynamic and diverse personalities.
  • May represent Mission Training Complex (MTC) at high level exercise planning conferences.
  • Leverage expertise and experience in staff training, best practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and training solutions in support of Army mission command training.
  • Act as an instructor and/or assistant instructor for various C4I and simulations systems
  • Manage and track all scheduled exercise events and milestones, ensuring up-to-date documentation and clear communication across participating units.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all exercise development phases, schedules, and after-action reviews to ensure institutional knowledge transfer and audit readiness
  • Perform other duties as required.
