Expertise in the human body’s metabolic response to short- and long-term physical activity for ICR.
Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, nutrition, risk factor modification strategies, counseling techniques, and uses of behavior change programs and technologies in CR/SP services.
Passion for helping patients improve their health, experience in fitness, and effective communication skills.
Respect for the human body, highly motivational, able to provide reassurance and instill confidence in patients performing exercises.
Knowledge of exercise testing protocols, indications/contraindications of exercise and health, training techniques and administration.
Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Physical Education, Recreation, Physiology or related field.
BLS and ACLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one-year clinical experience in Cardiac Rehab program preferred, with emphasis on wellness, communication skills, customer orientation, and ability to lead through demonstration.
EKG coursework and experience preferred.
ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist (CES) certification preferred.
