About The Position

The Exercise Physiologist assists participants in the Cardiac Rehabilitation program in achieving their optimal functional capacity through exercise, education, and risk factor modification. This role provides appropriate assessments, interventions, and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones. The position identifies safety concerns in age-related populations and institutes appropriate measures, monitors cardiac dysrhythmia, and conducts new participant orientations. Responsibilities include timely and accurate documentation of participant activities, progress, and patient education provided, utilizing appropriate resources for participant problems or unusual responses to exercise, cleaning and stocking the work area, and training new employees while offering assistance to less experienced colleagues. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field required.
  • Previous experience in dysrhythmia detection and identification required.
  • Current BLS Certification required.
  • ACLS required within first year of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience with EKG monitoring/education preferred.
  • ACLS preferred
