About The Position
As an Exercise Physiologist in our Cardiopulmonary Rehab department, you will play a vital role in helping patients safely regain strength and improve cardiovascular and pulmonary health through personalized exercise programs and education.
Requirements
- Degree in Exercise Science.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Basic knowledge of nutrition, cardiac and pulmonary anatomy.
- Skilled in assessing BP, HR, and O2 saturation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communicator with the ability to multitask and prioritize patient care.
Responsibilities
- Administer 6-Minute Walk Tests and Timed Get Up and Go assessments.
- Develop and lead individualized and group exercise sessions.
- Create home exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
- Educate patients on telemetry monitoring, pulse taking, and cardiac risk reduction.
- Schedule new patients and maintain timely documentation.
- Respond to emergency situations within scope of practice.
- Deliver community education programs and stay current with evidence-based practices.
