Develops exercise prescription and oversees exercise progression in patients with chronic diseases. Leads team members by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities. This role involves conducting assessments such as Executive Physicals and Health Fit Assessments, performing stress tests using electrocardiograph (EKG) machines, and recommending methods to increase lifestyle physical activity. The Exercise Physiologist II will explain exercise programs or physiological testing procedures to participants, monitor and record symptoms or changes in patients' conditions, and advise patients on nutrition and ongoing exercise regimens. They may also teach classes and conduct research, thoroughly documenting all patient interactions in the chart for provider review, while adhering to hospital and department policies and procedures.
