This is a full-time position in the Cardiology Nuclear Stress department at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The role involves interpreting physiological data from stress tests, planning and implementing treatment programs, and modifying exercise prescriptions based on patient conditions. The Exercise Physiologist will work closely with physicians and other medical staff to determine program eligibility and progression, and will also be involved in patient education and counseling regarding home activity and exercise programs. The position requires placing electrodes for cardiac monitors, assisting in cardiac emergencies, and potentially serving as a mentor for staff pursuing certification. The role also involves monitoring outpatient cardiac rehabilitation exercise groups and performing patient positioning and transporting duties that require lifting and pushing/pulling.
