About The Position

Ascot Group is hiring an executive to lead its Property Facultative business and support the continued growth of its global reinsurance platform. The role owns the business vision, strategy, business plan, and financial performance, aligned with enterprise objectives, approved capacity, risk appetite, and return-on-capital targets. The executive advises senior Ascot leadership on market conditions, competitive dynamics, emerging exposures, portfolio performance, capital deployment, and strategic opportunities. The role leads portfolio management and profitable growth across individual risks, renewals, hybrid structures, and automatic facilities. It develops executive relationships with cedants, brokers, and other trading partners; negotiates significant transactions; and works across Ascot’s U.S., Bermuda, and U.K. platforms to coordinate capital and deliver integrated solutions. The executive partners with actuarial, analytics, catastrophe modeling, finance, enterprise risk, and other functions to guide underwriting and capital decisions, while championing responsible use of AI-enabled tools, automation, and advanced analytics. The position builds and leads a high-performing organization, develops talent and succession, and partners across claims, operations, IT, data strategy, legal and compliance, marketing, and human resources. It maintains strong service and operating discipline, ensures compliance with underwriting authorities, risk controls, regulations, and governance standards—including those associated with Syndicate 1414—and represents Ascot in industry forums. The leader is expected to model The Ascot Way through inclusive, collaborative, entrepreneurial, and accountable leadership.
