About The Position

The Executive Vice President of Inpatient Services provides executive leadership for inpatient operations, with a strong focus on clinical quality, patient safety, and operational excellence. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, optimize performance, and ensure the delivery of patient- and family-centered care. You will lead the development of system-wide strategies, oversee financial performance, implement data-driven improvements, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards—all while fostering a culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent required
  • Minimum of eight years in a senior healthcare leadership role required
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in a related health field preferred
  • Experience at the Senior Vice President or Executive Vice President level preferred
  • Background in inpatient behavioral health or hospital settings strongly preferred
  • Licensure in a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning initiatives aligned with organizational goals
  • Develop business plans and drive service line expansion
  • Report on performance related to clinical activity, quality, and safety
  • Partner on annual operating and capital budgets
  • Analyze financial and operational data to inform staffing and resource allocation
  • Optimize efficiency and performance across inpatient services
  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics across sites
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations
  • Guide and support directors, managers, and clinical leaders
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Champion patient- and family-centered care environments
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices
  • Implement systems and processes that enhance care quality and safety
  • Lead improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes
  • Present data and insights clearly to executive leadership
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Promote transparency and alignment across all inpatient sites
