Executive Vice President Inpatient Services
About The Position
The Executive Vice President of Inpatient Services provides executive leadership for inpatient operations, with a strong focus on clinical quality, patient safety, and operational excellence. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, optimize performance, and ensure the delivery of patient- and family-centered care. You will lead the development of system-wide strategies, oversee financial performance, implement data-driven improvements, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards—all while fostering a culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent required
- Minimum of eight years in a senior healthcare leadership role required
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required
Nice To Haves
- Master’s in a related health field preferred
- Experience at the Senior Vice President or Executive Vice President level preferred
- Background in inpatient behavioral health or hospital settings strongly preferred
- Licensure in a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning initiatives aligned with organizational goals
- Develop business plans and drive service line expansion
- Report on performance related to clinical activity, quality, and safety
- Partner on annual operating and capital budgets
- Analyze financial and operational data to inform staffing and resource allocation
- Optimize efficiency and performance across inpatient services
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics across sites
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations
- Guide and support directors, managers, and clinical leaders
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Champion patient- and family-centered care environments
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices
- Implement systems and processes that enhance care quality and safety
- Lead improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes
- Present data and insights clearly to executive leadership
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Promote transparency and alignment across all inpatient sites
