About The Position

An established and highly respected Atlanta-based general contractor is seeking an Executive Vice President to launch and lead its Commercial Construction Division. The Executive Vice President will serve as the founding leader of the company's Commercial Construction Division. This executive will develop the division's strategy, cultivate client relationships, recruit and mentor high-performing teams, and drive profitable growth across targeted commercial markets. Requirements

  • 15+ years of commercial construction leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success growing a commercial construction business unit, regional office, or entrepreneurial contractor.
  • Experience leading projects within commercial, light industrial, distribution, automotive, retail, or similar vertical markets.
  • Proven business development success with an established network of owners, developers, and industry partners.
  • Strong financial and operational leadership experience, including P&L responsibility.
  • Experience recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing construction teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building businesses and creating long-term value.
  • Ability to relocate to or currently reside in the Atlanta market.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the Commercial Construction Division from strategy through execution.
  • Develop new business opportunities within light industrial, distribution, automotive, retail, and other commercial markets.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with owners, developers, architects, and industry partners.
  • Lead preconstruction, operations, financial performance, and overall business execution for the division.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while leveraging the company's existing operations, estimating, accounting, and field resources.
  • Partner directly with ownership to shape long-term growth strategy, culture, and organizational development.
  • Establish scalable processes and systems that support sustained expansion.
  • Drive profitability while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction and repeat business.
