The Specialty Sales Executive Team Leader role is responsible for driving total store sales by leading a team of consultants who provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations. This role focuses on inspiring guests and building the basket, particularly in the Apparel & Accessories (A&A), Beauty, and Electronics departments. Teams in these areas prioritize guest experience while ensuring product availability and ease of shopping through tasks like pulling, filling, pricing, staging, and maintaining the sales floor and backroom. Target aims to provide meaningful experiences that help team members build and develop skills for a career. This role offers knowledge of guest service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals (including sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions), experience in setting and planning department workload, managing teams to achieve sales goals, and managing multiple specialty businesses. It also involves understanding competitors, leveraging insights, managing hourly team members and leaders, and developing talent through recruiting, selection, and talent management.
