About The Position

The Executive Team Leader Specialty Sales (Assistant Store Manager Merchandising) role at Target focuses on driving sales and creating an exceptional guest experience within specialty departments such as Apparel & Accessories, Beauty, and Electronics. This position involves leading a team of hourly team members and leaders, managing merchandising and sales goals, and ensuring product availability and presentation on the sales floor. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Drive total store sales and understand the impact of specialty departments on overall profitability.
  • Create a guest-obsessed culture and lead the team to prioritize guest experience and achieve sales goals.
  • Create and adjust schedules based on guest traffic and business needs.
  • Manage the team to effectively plan merchandising and pricing workload, including transitions, revisions, sales plans, sampling, and promotions.
  • Assess the competition and leverage guest insights and feedback to drive business objectives.
  • Build a team of consultants knowledgeable and passionate about Apparel and Accessories, Beauty, and Electronics.
  • Manage and develop the sales force using selling training techniques.
  • Lead backroom processes, organization, layout, and replenishment of the sales floor for specialty departments.
  • Lead the team to deliver inspiring visual merchandising in relevant areas.
  • Ensure fitting rooms are welcoming and used as an extension of the sales floor.
  • Plan, lead, and follow up on organizational and operational changes.
  • Anticipate and identify changes in store trends.
  • Anticipate staffing needs, develop talent plans, and recruit team members.
  • Develop and coach the team and Team Leaders to enhance their skills and expertise.
  • Lead team onboarding, learning, and address product knowledge and skill gaps.
  • Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, and hold the team accountable.
  • Address store needs, including emergencies and regulatory visits.
  • As a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes.
